The Utilities Forum will be hosted at Cortech Developments’ head office near Knutsford in Cheshire on Wednesday 20 February from 9.30 am through until 2.30 pm. There will be two guest speakers, namely Daniel Howard OBE MA FCIL and Jason Westcombe.
A former senior officer in the Armed Forces with strategic level experience in delivering the UK’s international defence engagement strategy, Daniel Howard, was presented with the Order of the British Empire in 2016 by Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II for services to the country.
As deputy defence and naval attaché to Germany, Howard was involved in policy, planning and international operations while managing a busy Embassy Department. He was the Departmental Chief of Staff and the Royal Navy’s senior representative as well as the focal point for bilateral defence co-operation to develop and implement the UK’s strategic security policy. Howard also spent time in Islamabad, focusing his attentions on NATO’s military operations with Pakistan.
Howard has commanded a British overseas territory with a population in excess of 4,500, led a small four-man commando team during the inaugural Gulf War and has held a variety of demanding high-profile staff appointments both here in the UK and abroad.
For his part, Jason Westcombe is an effective commercial and operational business leader within the security industry and boasts extensive knowledge of working within the Critical National Infrastructure space.
He’s experienced in operations, programme and project management and is supported by a proven track record of accomplishment outlining a continual ability to deliver financial results and customer satisfaction.
Westcombe’s military career has instilled a sense of ‘get it right first time’ in his approach towards project delivery. He’s always keen to embrace new technology to provide technical support and test analysis. This kind of approach realises innovative, delivery-focused results and outcomes-orientated technical solutions that don’t fail.
