COIE Comes Home!

The Cortech Open Innovation Event (COIE) returns to Cortech Developments Headquarters on 7 November for the final event of 2017.

Group Presentation

Cortech will be joined at the event by attending manufacturers that include Commend, Geutebruck, Grosvenor Technology and Intech Solutions.

In addition to the popular technology groups that provide a platform for delegates to discuss industry challenges, we will hear from guest speaker, Steve Pilkington (Technical Director for IT Consultancy, Italik).  His presentation will present an insight into the current cybercrime landscape and the 10 steps to cyber risk management.

Jason Blundell, Cortech Head of Sales, believes the event is a forum for discussion on key topics of interest to the industry: “Cyber security has been a fundamental theme of the COIE’s over the last couple of years and we remain committed to providing education in this area, but also providing a platform for other subjects of relevance to the industry.”

Blundell added: “GDPR (General Data Protection Regulation for the EU) was a key part of the agenda at the recent COIE in Glasgow. Businesses are now factoring these areas into their wider business and security strategies.”

The event is a showcase for some of the latest advances in security, fire and building control technology and a platform for demonstrating how interoperability between these systems can reduce risk and cost, improve operational efficiency and provide greater situation awareness. The event aims to challenge us all to think about the way we manage infrastructures and buildings with a view to safety, security, interoperability and sustainability.
