Last year Jenny Connell (Cortech Developments Maintenance Support Co-ordinator) organised a fantastic Cake and Coffee morning for charity.
The event brought the entire Cortech team together, provided an opportunity for individuals to test out their baking skills and culminated in a cake tasting morning that left us all feeling rather over faced, but in a nice way!
Jenny said:
“I received great feedback from the team regarding last year’s event. It certainly created a buzz amongst the office and importantly we were able to raise £175.00 for MacMillan Cancer Support.”
So as the BBC’s Great British Bake Off starts in earnest, Jenny is now planning another Cake and Coffee morning for the staff. Jenny added:
“We are asking all members of staff to take part in this event and help to make a real difference. This year, I would like to challenge the staff to a ‘Cake Off’!”
Donations will be made on the day for any cakes that are tasted and proceeds will once again go to Macmillan Cancer Support.
This charity event, involving the Cortech team, takes places at Cortech Developments’ headquarters on 28th September.
