Cortech Developments is pleased to announce a major new integration development between Southwest Microwave’s new-generation INTREPID™ suite of perimeter intrusion detection systems and Cortech’s Datalog 5 security management system.
The INTREPID™ family of sensors, incorporating the MicroPoint II fence detection system, MicroTrack II buried cable detection system and MicroWave 330 digital microwave link, integrates with Datalog 5 to provide alarm integration combining CCTV video, video motion detection/analytics and other detection sensors with live video playback on alarm and pre and post playback verification.
INTREPID™ devices compatible with the Datalog 5 include:
Datalog 5 is able to monitor the MicroPoint II and MicroTrack II systems for activations along the cable, reporting an alarm on a Datalog 5 circuit. Should a cable detect movement, the alarm will annunciate on the Datalog 5 system and visually indicate the precise location of the disturbance. Tamper alarms will be reported for Processor Modules, Alarm Input Modules and Relay Output Modules. Cable faults and communication failure alarms will also be generated on Datalog 5.
Datalog 5 will also report the range of alarms enunciated by the MicroWave 330 sensor, including intrusion, Tx/Rx tamper, path monitoring and service alarms.
Auxiliary inputs on INTREPID™ devices can also be monitored for alarm and tamper conditions.
For all INTREPID™ systems, the Datalog 5 alarm circuit will display an icon denoting the alarm’s position and the associated text will be placed in the alarm queue and recorded in the history database.
INTREPID™ MicroPoint™ II is the new-generation version of Southwest Microwave’s field-proven perimeter fence detection system for applications where the detection of cut or climb attempts is required. A newly enhanced FSK communications system increases the range for system communication across the sensor cables.
INTREPID™ MicroTrack™ II buried cable detection system offers reliable protection for applications where covert perimeter protection is essential. This volumetric intelligent sensor detects precise location of walking, running or crawling intruders. Terrain-following capabilities allow the buried system to follow ground contours and handle tight turns with ease.
INTREPID™ MicroWave 330 is a volumetric perimeter detection system for fence lines, open areas, gates, entryways, walls and rooftop applications. Based on Southwest Microwave’s field-proven microwave detection technology, it reliably detects human intruders with minimal environmental nuisance alarms. Advanced digital signal processing (DSP) allows continuous monitoring of intrusion alarm and tamper switch status, received signal strength and detection parameters.
